Empire State of Mind performed by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys at the 2009 World Series. I wanted to see the reaction he got when he said his Yankee line. People cheered.
I like how Jay-Z didn’t say “Go Yankees”.

Recently, Paranormal Activity, was screened somewhere (California?). There was some buzz about it so I gave it 30 seconds of my time learning about it. I didn’t watch the trailer. Through some research I found out that the movie was screening one time in NYC. I live in NYC. The screening was on a weekday at 1:00am in the Lower East Side. I quickly realized that this wasn’t going to happen. I forgot about it. I mean, how good can another “shaky camera” movie really be? No one liked Blair Witch.
However, this past weekend, I received word there was a midnight showing. I decided to go see it.
Bravo. It was extremely fun to watch. I can’t promise that you’ll actually be scared by it. I mean, it is still just a movie. You’ll either find it really stupid or you’ll seriously enjoy it. Don’t invest 3 plus hours out of your day and an overpriced movie ticket on something you don’t think you’re going to like. This may is probably not your movie. Sit down and enjoy some scares. At one point, I witnessed one fellow movie-goer run out of the theater screaming. It was quite funny.
Anyone under the age of 14 will likely be scared shitless by this movie. So please, take them to see it.
