Subject: Matter [EP]
Stones Throw Records
I refuse to spend money on a MP3. Homeboy Sandman got signed to Stones Throw and now I can’t even buy his music. WTF is that? Vinyl and MP3 only. It’s 2012. Why are we still signing with labels? And why the eff do you need a label if you’re just selling MP3′s online? You can do that yourself and keep all your gross. Are we really that easy to please that a set of 320 kbps MP3′s are sufficient? Even in the rare case where I actually want to throw down for music I can’t. Do I really have to buy the Vinyl and author a CD?
P.S. I know I left a lot out about what a label does as well as MP3 and CD tech but you get my point.
