Google’s Glasses HUD Interface [Tech]

Dubbed “Project Glass“, Google has also jumped in the put-a-hud-in-your-glasses boat. Nothing new here but it’s good to know Google is also working on something. People have already put Android versions in glasses. Why not have Google put their own Android OS into glasses?

Side note: Can we pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease stop using HD GoPro‘s?! They look terrible.

To Rome With Love [Allen]

I don’t like Woody Allen movies. I’ve even watched the beginnings of Match Point and Cassandra’s Dream and I get it. I got through Vicky Christina Barcelona for two reasons. You know them both. This one might prove to be the same. Ellen Page, Cruz, Alec Baldwin, Benigni…why not? I’ll see it…or at least the beginning.

Rear Window Timelapse [Hitchcock]

This is the greatest thing I’ve seen all year. Jeff Desom stitched the entire thing together in After Effects. This was even theoretically feasible because the film is shot from mostly the same angle. Truly amazing.

Eden is here for XBMC [HTPC]

Eden for XBMC is out of beta and is in full effect. If you were annoyed at how buggy the beta was, you will be pleased with this release. There are plenty new slick changes and upgrades to the XBMC OS. Head over here for a full list. And DOWNLOAD EDEN HERE!

Sometimes I wonder why I even have cable or Netflix streaming. XBMC covers a good 98% of what I routinely watch, both TV and movies. Any TV show or movie you’d like is available with XBMC’s large add-on community. The only thing stopping me from dropping cable completely is live sports. I watch a lot of soccer. With ESPN and MLB online, I can only get about half the sports I’d like to watch live incorporated into XBMC. The live HD feeds exist online legally but are far too expensive for me to be dropping dollars like that. Whenever this complete media delivery package gets worked out legally, I’d be right there with my wallet out.
