Louis CK was on Leno last night promoting Season 3 of Louie as well as his new tour. He’s trying to eliminate scalping of his tour tickets by only offering tickets via his website. He desires to also lower ticket prices by doing this. This isn’t a new tactic but I think the best thing to come out of this is that Louie will be playing at different new venues. All 5 NYC dates are sold out. I made sure to buy before he announced on TV.

Yes, I have a TiVo box. It’s actually awesome and better than your DVR. However, while there has been TiVo apps for other phones/tablets, there hasn’t been one for Android tablets. Now there is and it’s free.

I recently shot a small ad for a contest with Amil Dave directing. We used the Canon C300. It was my first time using it and it wasn’t as smooth as I had envisioned. White balance was difficult to manage and the low light performance wasn’t what I thought. This just reinforces what I always say about how it doesn’t matter what crazy RED/Alexa camera you have, you still need good glass and good lights to get a good starting image. We used normal Canon stills lenses with poor quality lights. Regardless, none of that matters when content is king, so watch now!!

I’d like to welcome my boy Jay Ballentine to Logrithmic.com. He will be posting here in addition to I. I’ve known him since freshmen year in High School and we’ve constantly debated about tech, business, music, sports, etc, over the past decade. We’d had many entrepreneurial ideas as well as failed projects. Recently, he launched a new project. There’s no way I can make a proper introduction in the 3 minutes I’m taking to write this so I’ll let Jay introduce himself properly. Enjoy!

Epic.
Can someone tell me how he sees anything with zero peripheral?

Here’s a new show coming to NBC. What happens to humanity 15 years after we “lose the lights”? It’s not a new concept but it’s one we love.
Firstly, why don’t these shows ever attempt to make things realistic. Falling Skies, Terra Nova, Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, and all the 100 others fail to make a realistic show. Why would people wear these clothes? How the heck did the majority of these losers live 15 years?!?! Also, Earth would look nothing like this. The whole lights turning off sequence was terribly unreal. This all makes it that much harder to suspend belief and enjoy a show.
That’s not even mentioning the bad acting in these shows. It’s like a soap opera. I’m mad they act like Jon Favreau is known for Iron Man. That was his worst movie. Combine that with JJ Abrams and this is destined to fail. Regardless, I’ll end up giving this a shot. That’s why I’m writing about it here. People like these shows. I can’t find a start date but I see Monday’s at 10pm EST so who knows.
