Everyone’s been making jokes about how La Marina is THAT spot now. I checked it out a couple weeks ago. It is THAT spot. Yesterday was the Dominican Day Parade and I think everyone had the same idea…LA MARINA!

Cargo [Film]

Recently, I’ve been making my way through my movie cue. Cargo is a swiss sci-fi film that takes place in 2267. Earth in inhabitable and humans are living on space ships. We’ve all heard this premise before. However, the film is very well done and fun to watch. You’ll guess the ending pretty early on but it’s entertaining nevertheless.

It was shot on film with dope set design and above average CGI. It kills me when I see horrible unbelievable sets like Prometheus. Cargo doesn’t fail here and makes the entire film more believable. Also, can we pleeeeeeeease stop using this font?!? Is this the go-to sci-fi font? Switch it up.

Galaxy Pack [Wallpaper]

The thing about Live Wallpaper for your phone is that they are generally CPU and battery heavy. Most are ugly too. That’s not the case with the Galaxy Pack set. Due to the ridiculous amount of control over each scenario, I’m pretty sure these are generated vectors as opposed to raster video. This is probably why the live wallpaper isn’t taxing on the phone. I put them on my Galaxy Tab and it slowed it down slightly but that’s probably because it’s bigger and with a weaker CPU. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience. Check out all their space packs.
