The Wall Street Journal chimed in again on the Verizon iPhone and again ALMOST officially confirmed it for January 2011. I’ve been in at $27/share waiting to profit take. Q1 earnings or iPhone announcement (confirmation or lack off)?
I’ve been waiting for this phone for some time. I like the iPhone4. It’s design is better than all previous ones. Unfortunately, while waiting, I sprung for an Android phone. It has grown on me more than I thought. It’s fast, pretty, and free of iTunes. I was under the impression that I wouldn’t have the few iPhone apps I wanted. Not only are they all here but there are plenty that the iPhone doesn’t have. Actually, the iPhone DOES have one app I desire that doesn’t exist in the Android world but the VLC app suffices for now.
I’m a big HTC fan and normally stay miles away from ANYTHING Samsung related but I recently had the chance to play around with the new Samsung Fascinate. Wow. It is Android at it’s best. It’s AMOLED display looks better than the iPhone Retina. I’ve said it here before, it’s not about pixel count. It’s about dynamic range, color accuracy, glare response, brightness, etc. The screen is bigger and the phone is lighter. The camera’s are identical but I must mention the Samsung lacks a front-facing camera. But really, I don’t use it. Do you?
I wonder if this iPhone will be on Verizon’s officially confirmed 4G LTE network. I doubt it but maybe the iPhone4g will. I’ll be rocking this Android phone until then.
The guy in the WSJ video, as well as TechCrunch, is stating that CDMA doesn’t allow for talk and surfing simultaneously. Isn’t CDMA built for that exact instance? My CDMA Verizon phone allows for talk, text, email, etc simultaneously. Can someone else confirm this for me? I’ll make a video of this if need be.
